The Android Operating System (OS) is the most popular in the world. In fact, most of the new smartphones and tablets being put on the market run on Android, which has proven its utility throughout the years and is better than ever today.
The more time passes, the more Android devices are sold in markets all around the world. Android offers tons of fabulous features and properties that would make any user get attached to their Android device and depend on it for more and more tasks and uses.
The Play Store app has countless features and benefits that make using it a real amazing experience, and which make using Android devices much easier and more fun. You can find lots of app and game choices, special offers and search for any kind of Android digital content; browse new releases and explore the best apps, the most popular and the newest Android apps to hit the market.
Mobile games, different types of applications, books, magazines, media, music, and much more are always offered and updated constantly. Plus, Play Store takes care of updating all the apps you have on your device and makes it much easier to manage and stay current on everything. And like any other app, Play Store itself has new updates every now and then, occasionally adding new features and always working to improve the user experience with a faster, more reliable app.
For several years now, Android smartphones and tablets have been sold with the standard Google applications preinstalled in them, and arguably the most important of all is Play Store (it is, after all, the one app that allows you to install all of the others).
When Google first launched its official digital market, it was named Android Market (which is still used by Android OS 2.3 and lower), and then the name was changed to Google Play Store, which is how most of us know it today. But sometimes, for some reason, you may not find the Play Store app on your new device.
Maybe you got a second-hand smartphone, or you bought a “clone” mobile phone or tablet from some cheap market (usually from China). In this case, what do you do to get Play Store onto your device?
How to download Play Store on my Android device?
Well, the problem of not having Play Store on your Android device might look like big deal, but don’t worry at all; it’s actually quite easy and simple to fix. You can download the Google Play Store app from the web to your Android device. Here’s how to do it:
Download the latest version of Play Store (hint: we have included a totally secure, free Play Store download link in this post for your convenience). Just try to choose a trustworthy site so you can guarantee a safe download (sometimes people stick malware and other stuff you don’t want on your Android into APK downloads).
Then look for Play Store app as an APK file (the file type that all Android applications use). Tap the link to download the APK file.
But remember that, before installing, you have to go first to the settings in your Android device, go to security settings and turn on “Allow apps from unknown sources”. You can do this while you’re waiting for the file to finish downloading.
Now, you need to open the APK file after the download is finished either by tapping the notification bar that is telling you “download complete”, or by using a file manager app.
In case you don’t have a Wi-Fi internet connection or cellular data on your Android, you can also download the APK file on your computer and connect the smartphone or tablet to it using a USB cable and transfer the file, or you can use a Bluetooth connection to transfer the Play Store APK file to your device, if your device has that option. And that’s all!
