Fortnite is a survival action game that has taken the young generation by storm. Compared to the complete Call of Duty series, every millennial is seen talking about the action game with postmodern weaponry, cartoonish graphics, and realistic gameplay.
The game comes out on a cross-platform including PS4, Xbox One, Windows, iOS and Mac which makes it a unique game that is available on gaming console and PC. The survival game is based upon strategic thinking of the player who needs to act with the team in order to wipe out enemy monsters or lock horns with fellow players in the online arena known as Battle Royale with up 100 players fighting for team/individual glory.
However, with the increasing demand of mobile users around the world to get the game on their handheld devices, EPIC has decided to release this fantastic game on the Android platform after a successful launch on the iOS platform.
First impressions: Fortnite on Android
A large number of additions have been made in the latest update in order to facilitate the touch screen players as opposed to those playing on keyboard or controller platforms. There were many bugs which needed to be fixed in order to make the game compatible with Android devices. Some of the fixes in the latest update include…
In order to comply with mobile users who pay the game while in transit or on the potty, a new 15 min round called Blitz mode has been introduced. This mode can be played in squad mode only so you have to wipe out 19 teams only to win while the storm of the eye is shrinking all the time.
Many gameplay changes have been incorporated in the update to facilitate the Android user. Shooting has been made easier for handheld devices. No more does a single touch on the screen fires the gun. A quick tap tutorial has been added at the startup which can bring you up to speed with tap firing and tap holding options for far better gameplay and accurate shooting than before.
Two new weapons have been added to the arsenal which is also available in the Android version. You can now fire a guided missile and guide it over and under obstacles to hit an enemy securely camped in its fort. However, remember that you cannot move your player while you control the missile. Therefore, do take cover while guiding the missile down an enemy’s chimney.
Who doesn’t want detonatable C4 charge in their inventory? Remote explosives are the second addition to the latest update and these C4 charges can be found in the Battle Royale’s Supply Llamas, treasure chest, supply drops and floor loots. All you need to do is to place the charge and wait for the enemy or flock of enemies to arrive and press the trigger.
How to download Fortnite on Android
Since the game is about to be released on Google Play Store, you may want to get a heads up on the method of download so you have it before your entire bar buddies or classmates. Just like the iOS version, the game will initially be available through invite only and therefore, you need to act fast.
Step 1: Sign up
You may want to sign up now on the official website before the system crashes due to millions of people trying to do the same. Register yourself as an interesting party to get hands on the new release as soon as it comes out.
Step 2: Wait
You now wait for the official invite to arrive.
Step 3: Go to the link
The invite will be in the form of an email with a link that will take you to the download page. Go to the link and download the game before the limit runs out.
Step 4: Invite code linked
You won’t have access to the playing arena if you don’t have an invite code linked to your registered ID. Please wait and keep the app available till the time you get the email and authorization to play.
Once you get the authorization to play, you can invite your friends to play as well. You can copy paste the invite code from the lobby and send it to your friends. Therefore, if you see any of your friends playing Fortnite on their Android device, ask them for the invite code. However, you can simply send the code to yourself from their device when they are busy somewhere else. YES! Do anything to get a hold on the mobile version because it is that good.
